Position Description
Professor Ben Enke is looking to hire a full-time pre-doctoral fellow for the academic year 2022-2023, with an option to extend for a second year pending funding and performance. The pre-doc will be based at Harvard and will closely collaborate with me on all aspects of my research in behavioral economics, experimental economics, and political economy. For examples of recent papers on these topics, please see my website. The pre-doc’s task will include designing, programming and implementing experiments and surveys; analyzing survey, observational and textual data; and literature reviews.
The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills, and experiences:
• A background in economics or applied math
• Coding experience in Python, R, Stata or other languages, ideally including experience
· with NLP or other aspects of ML
• Interest in behavioral economics
• Strong project management and communication skills in spoken and written English
• Prior experience as research assistant
The position is ideally suited for students who would like to improve their research skills to
prepare themselves for graduate school.
The start date is July 1, 2022, or later.
