An opportunity is available at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) in College Park, Maryland This project involves training an intern to observe the development and implementation of an existing repository of scientific information essential to the work of the review scientists in the Office of Food Additive Safety. The repository includes chemical, toxicological, and other scientific data, as well as regulatory information. This program, administered by ORAU through its contract with the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, was established through an interagency agreement between DOE and FDA. The initial appointment is for one year, but may be renewed upon recommendation of FDA contingent on the availability of funds.


Eligibility & Requirements

Must have received bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Management Systems, within five years of the appointment start date Background Check Knowledge of software engineering principles and practices, and information management Attention to details Programming skills Willing to learn and apply project management tools and techniques Transcripts Resume/CV 2 Letters of Recommendation
