Postdoctoral Fellow in Organic Chemistry

Updated: over 1 year ago
Deadline: 2022-10-31T00:00:00Z
A post-doctoral fellow position is immediately available in Dr. John Zhao’s lab at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) to study novel photochemical and photocatalytic organic reactions.

Our lab is focused on developing novel synthetic methodologies and novel organocatalytic asymmetric reactions (For a complete list of our publications, please see: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=A0oojM0AAAAJ&hl=en).

Now we have discovered some novel photochemical and photocatalytic reactions by combining photochemistry and organocatalysis. The new post-doc fellow is going to further study these novel reactions and expand their scope in synthetic applications.

A qualified candidate should have a PhD degree in organic chemistry with experience in synthetic methodology developments, excellent organic chemistry knowledge, experimental skills, and communication skills, and is willing to work in a large heterogenous group.

Any interested candidate please submit his/her CV and research summary directly to Dr. John Zhao via email at: [email protected]. UTSA is an EOE/AA employer.
