A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. In collaboration with Calico Life Sciences – a research and development company, Drs. Jun Wan and Ken White are looking for a recent Ph.D. with expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology and/or biostatistics, particularly in single cell level analyses. This candidate will conduct multiple genome-wide sequencing data analysis under the supervision of Drs. Wan and White. The applicant should have ability to work independently for multiple tasks as well as in collaboration with wet labs. Duties and specific responsibilities are to perform sequencing data analyses and integrative analysis on multi-omics datasets, visualize the results, help data releases, and assist with the investigator for preparation of presentations and manuscripts in bioinformatics analysis. This post-doctoral fellow will have a unique multi-disciplinary collaboration opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams of scientists including clinical, basic and computational sciences.

Doctoral or Terminal degree required. MD and/or PhD in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Genetics, Molecular or Cell Biology, or a related field. The candidate should be able to work independently with strong computing coding ability and have effective oral and written communication skills. Prior experience to use R and/or Python to analyze NGS data is necessary. Experience with scRNA-seq and/or scATAC-seq is also highly desirable.
