The successful candidate will work two primary projects this summer.  The first is a project related to nutrient loading from urban watersheds.  The candidate should have experience collecting data on urban nutrient loading and be able to develop a spreadsheet based tool to help end users to estimate nutrient loads from urban areas and then determine load reduction provided by various urban stormwater control measures.  The second project is related to WINSLAMM modeling of urban watersheds using existing data to calibrate and validate the models.  These models will be provide to Ohio EPA.  The candidate will be expected to perform experiments from cradle to grave, with final reports developed for granting agencies and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.  The postdoctoral researcher will prepare seminars, conference presentations, and lectures to disseminate results of research conducted at Ohio State University.

The successful candidate will help to supervise staff within the Stormwater Management Program.  This includes delegating tasks to undergraduate and graduate students, mentoring them in their growth as scientists, and aiding with reviewing their products.  The successful candidate should have earned a PhD in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Ecological Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering (or a related field).  He or she should have demonstrated leadership ability in their field, including past experience publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts.  Interest in disseminating materials through webinars, factsheets, and workshops is desired.
