This Postdoctoral Researcher will focus on the topic of electrocatalysis, electrocatalysts synthesis, related devices engineering, or other fields in electrochemical energy devices, such as battery, fuel cell, supercapacitor and electrolyzer.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and actively participate in the development of high performance electrocatalytic systems and reactors to fulfill different projects.
- Explore frontiers of electrosynthesis of different valuable chemical feedstocks.
- Synthesize catalytic materials with different synthetic methods, design and implement different research protocols
- Perform electrochemical and physical characterizations of different synthetic catalytic materials.
- Train newly recruited graduate students with essential experimental skills
- Analyze results of experiments regarding catalysts performance enhancement
- Support project management and collaboration across institutions or disciplines
- Publish research results in peer-reviewed scientific or technical journals and present results at external conferences, seminars and/or technical meetings.
- Manage and monitor lab safety.
Required Education:
- Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field.
Required Experience:
- None
Preferred Experience:
- Advanced knowledge in electrochemistry, nanoscience, materials chemistry and electrocatalysis.
- Significant experience with materials synthesis and characterization techniques.
- Significant experience in collecting, analyzing, and documenting scientific results.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team.
