Job Summary

Scientist will investigate methods to control the crystallization of lead halide perovskite thin films to enable roll-to-roll processing of solar cells.

The Baxter group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Drexel University is currently seeking to hire a full-time Postdoctoral Researcher in the area of roll-to-roll solution processing of lead halide perovskite thin films for solar cells. This project is in collaboration with Profs. Fafarman, Alvarez, and Cairncross.  Job duties will include: solution deposition and characterization of lead halide perovskite thin films; combining in situ and post-deposition spectroscopic and microscopic methods to understand and control crystallization; applying learnings toward roll-to-roll manufacturing (e.g. slot die coating) of perovskite solar cells; communicating findings in scholarly publications and presentations; collaborate with and assist in mentoring PhD students, undergraduate researchers, and other scientists; maintain safe operating procedures; and other duties as assigned.

The initial appointment is for 18 months.
