The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management invites applications for a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Food Science starting immediately until the position is filled. Utilizing advanced knowledge in the area of specialization, this Post-doctoral Fellow will be responsible for conducting research, grower training, and outreach in the state of Texas. The Post-doctoral Fellow will work closely with stakeholders, state, and federal agencies and works under the direction of a faculty member.

  • Recommends changes in research, testing or experimental procedures.
  • Assist in managing a BLS2 laboratory.
  • May contribute to grant proposal development
  • May receive general supervision conferring with higher levels only in unusual situations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.
  • May review and evaluate the effectiveness of personnel.
  • May plan for and assign personnel to projects under control.

The position is grant funded and currently estimated to be a one-year appointment and conitnued appointment is contingent upon  funding.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:
 

Doctoral degree

Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Safety, or related field. 

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in food safety training and education and grant writing.

 
Salary: 3,223.00 - 4,834.00
