Job Summary

We are seeking a postdoctoral scholar who can help direct an NIMH-funded study investigating the intergenerational transmission of emotion dysregulation (MPIs Elisabeth Conradt and Sheila Crowell). This position prepares post-doctoral scholars to conduct independent research in emotion dysregulation, perinatal risk and protective factors, and emotional development in early childhood. The position lasts 1 year, with an option to extend up to 3 years. More information about our NIMH-funded study, the BABY study, can be found here: canlab.psych.utah.edu. A benefit of this position is that it will allow for joint mentorship in both clinical (Dr. Crowell) and developmental (Dr. Conradt) psychology. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in psychology or a related field. Postdoctoral scholars should have experience conducting statistical analyses and drafting manuscripts for publication.

This position is considered Category IIA: Not required on campus and has the ability to telework remotely for the duration of the University of Utah’s response to COVID-19. An employee hired into this role will be responsible for providing space, telephone, printing, networking and/or internet capabilities at the telecommute location and agree to the terms of the University of Utah campus and Health Academics COVID-19 Telecommuting Agreement.

Responsibilities:
1. Strong organization and administrative skills, detail-orientation and conscientiousness to include data management, statistical analyses, and the completion of manuscripts in a timely manner.
2. Critical thinking skills along with the ability to discuss and solve problems and issues that may arise
3. Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, research materials, and publications
4. Ability to interact with high-risk pregnant women and their infants is preferred.
5. Opportunities to participate in other NIH-funded projects are possible
