Job Type: FullTime

Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.

We are seeking a skilled postdoctoral fellow. Understanding dynamic models of acute and critical disease is a complex and multi-faceted challenge. In this postdoctoral fellowship, we focus on the development of novel frameworks to incorporate multi-time observations of genomic data in order to develop simulation models in-silico, which may be used for modeling drug sensitivities. We hope to utilize these robust sources of data to generate ‘digital twin’ systems that may be used for better understanding disease mechanisms and novel therapeutic targets. This postdoctoral fellowship will focus on the use of novel temporal single cell genomics and multi-omic data from a variety of disease profiles with a focus on immunologic data. The postdoctoral fellow will work in a highly dynamic and multidisciplinary team consisting of leading experts in immunology, single cell genomics and machine learning.

The postdoctoral fellow may teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff. Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee. The initial appointment is for one year, renewal expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available. Appointments cannot exceed five years.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering or relevant fields. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
