Position Summary

The Indiana University School of Medicine has an exciting opportunity as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the team of Drs. Anita Bellail and Chunhai Hao in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine.

The team is investigating the fundamental principles in ubiquitination and SUMOylation of target proteins (Bellail et al. Nat Commun. 2014, 23;5:4234). This new recruit will study the UB and SUMO modification of amyloid and tau proteins in neurodegenerative diseases and join the team in discovery and development of small molecule UB/SUMO target drugs.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for self-motivated, enthusiastic, and career-minded researchers with excellent training/ experience/record in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology to join the team. This position has the potential to move forward academically to a faculty position.

Newly graduated PhD’s in the field are encouraged to apply.

This position is funded by NIH grants with the NIH standard salaries and full university benefits.
