The Pathways for the Future Certificate Scholarship is a career development program created to provide learners with the knowledge necessary for life and work in the 21st century. Students interested in furthering their education by seeking a certificate may be awarded assistance to complete their program as a Pathways for the Future Scholar. The eligible certificates are applied business data analytics, geographic information science, informatics, lean six sigma black belt, and mathematical concepts of engineering.

As a Pathways scholar, you can access tailored career resources, including dedicated career advisors, events, leadership, mentoring opportunities, self-paced career courses, and more. This personalized support for scholars' career readiness aims to ensure that they are prepared to take the next steps upon finishing their academic program and have the skills and toolset to continuously develop and adapt to have a meaningful career.

Students must be U.S. Citizens and meet the certificate’s enrollment requirements outlined on https://pff.asu.edu/ for the following certificates:

Applied Business Data Analytics

Geographic Information Science - The BS in geographic information science is incompatible with this certificate
program.

Informatics - Applicants must have completed CSE 205, MAT 242, and MAT 243, or the equivalents, with a "C"
grade or higher (scale is 4.00 = "A").

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (graduate level) - Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if they have earned a
bachelor's or master's degree, in any field, from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants must have a
minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree
program or applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable
master's degree program.

Mathematical Concepts of Engineering - Students must have completed MAT 265 or MAT 270 with a "C" or
higher prior to enrolling in the certificate program. Students also must be in good academic standing with a
minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00.

If selected for the scholarship, you must add the certificate to your program of study and enroll in at least one required certificate course or pre-requisite course as outlined on the certificate map per semester until completion of the certificate to receive the scholarship disbursement.

Please note that students enrolling or currently enrolled in a degree program and who have an interest in one of the certificate programs listed above will be considered if they (1) meet the criteria for the desired certificate program, (2) if the core certificate course requirements or electives do not significantly overlap with your current degree program, and (3) the student was not already selected to receive another PFF award or scholarship within the same academic cycle.
