JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Do you love creating content for social media?

Student Affairs Communications and Marketing is looking to hire a student employee to assist with content creation starting in spring 2022. The candidate will serve as an ambassador for Student Affairs and will work with the Student Affairs Communications and Marketing Office to produce content for the @studentlifepsu Instagram and Tik Tok accounts. This will involve going to events around campus, interviewing other students, researching trends, and finding new ways to highlight the student experience around Penn State’s campus.

Applicants should be able to think strategically about how social media fits into a marketing strategy and how to put a Penn State twist on common trends. 

Duties

  • Help to plan and create daily Tik Tok and Reels content

  • Film and edit high-quality videos to post

  • Interview and interact with Penn State students and student affairs staff

  • Research other universities and the strategies they use on social platforms

  • Keep up with new trends and work to put a Penn State twist on them

Ideal Candidate

This person should be outgoing, personable and feel comfortable being on camera and interacting with other students and staff.

This is a 10-15 hour a week paid position and will involve some evening and weekend hours to cover events.
