Job Summary
 

The School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State University is recruiting a pool of part-time applicants for possible teaching positions to teach sections of beginning, intermediate, and/or advanced courses in our disciplines. The Kennesaw State University School of Art and Design offers a BFA degree in Art (concentrations in Ceramics, Graphic Communications, Illustration, Painting and Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Sequential Art, or Sculpture), a BFA in Digital Animation, a BS degree in Art Education, a BA in Art History, and a BAT in Apparel Textiles Technology.


Responsibilities
 

Qualified faculty are needed to teach in the areas of Art History, Art Education, Textiles, Graphic Design, Ceramics, Comics, Digital Animation, Drawing, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.


Required Qualifications
 

Applicants must have an advanced degree in Fine Art or related field or its foreign equivalent. The terminal degree for visual arts studio is the MFA.

An earned Master’s/Terminal/Doctorate in designate area of specialization , or the foreign equivalent is required.


Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Candidates to be able to demonstrate awareness and sensitivity towards promoting an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
  • Knowledge of field of specialization, particularly in technical proficiency.
  • Knowledge of or experience in implementing a variety of teaching strategies; ability to teach effectively at the college level.
  • Prior teaching experience at the university level desirable.
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites and other software related to discipline specific areas, particularly for applicants wanting to teach in Graphic Communications, Digital Animation and Illustration.
