Department Information

As one of the largest departments at KSU, the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education serves approximately 1500 undergraduate and graduate students and graduates approximately 300 candidates each year. It offers programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral levels.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience.


The Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education hires field supervisors on a part-time basis to supervise candidates in field and clinical experiences. Responsibilities include:

  • Clinical Supervision
  • Working with diverse communities
  • Engaging in appropriate professional development, meetings, and seminars

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in elementary education, educational admini­­­stration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience as a P-5 classroom teacher.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a principal, assistant principal, or teacher leader.
  • Experience supervising teacher education candidates.
