Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, seeks a full-time, academic Palliative Medicine physician for its Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine within the Department of Medicine. This non-tenure track appointment will be made at a rank (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The physician will join a well-established interdisciplinary consultation service, provide clinical supervision to learners at all levels, serve as faculty for an ACGME accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program, enjoy teaching opportunities throughout the medical system, and maintain an active research program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment.  Applicants must have a record of experience and a demonstrated strong interest in training medical students and residents in clinical medicine and fellows in palliative medicine.
Advertised Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
