Job Duties | East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a full-time 12-month faculty position to teach graduate students in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care (AGPCNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) concentrations. Teaching will include courses in the BSN to DNP Program (AGPCNP and FNP) and Post Masters DNP options, assisting with clinical evaluation (site visits), academic advising, and participating in DNP Projects. One to two days per week for meetings and committee work. Fixed term or tenure track available. |
Minimum Education/Experience | • A valid non-restricted North Carolina registered nurse license is required upon employment. • DNP or PhD in Nursing, National certification as a FNP or AGPCNP. • Three years of advanced practice clinical experience as FNP or AGPCNP; • Approval to practice as a nurse practitioner in North Carolina upon employment; • National certification as a FNP or AGPCNP; • Scholarship activity, effective oral and written communication skills, and effective interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population of students; • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse faculty and student body; and, • Experience Mentoring Students. Tenured and tenure-track positions require a doctorate in nursing or related field, from an appropriately accredited institution. Fixed-term requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. |

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education | • Demonstrated experience, credentials, and scholarship in primary care (FNP or AGPCNP). |
