This position provides primary care and treatment to a group of patients in a clinic or hospital unit.

 

This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law.



Explore this exciting opportunity to complete a 12-month training program with the Inpatient Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Service at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI).  The Postgraduate Oncology APC training program will prepare APCs to care for cancer patients as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on inpatient care.

                                                

As a valued member of a dynamic team, the APC is on the front-line of patient care. The person chosen for this fulltime, benefited position, will train with a multiple different teams of to provide care for oncology/hemoatology patients at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.  This approach will allow for understanding of the most common cancers and the differing treatment options.   There will be an emphasis on hemotology patients and the goal will be to assume a full time inpatient hematology position at the end of the fellowship.

Qualifications
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah, and an active DEA certificate and Utah prescriptive privileges are required.
  • Certification in ACLS/BLS is required. 
  • Must be currently licensed to apply.


Work Schedule: The position is full time (approximately 40 hours/week) working varied shifts and may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
