This position will conduct research related to NIH grant aims (working remotely). The project is detecting and characterizing adaption to malaria in human populations from the Americas and Africa. The candidate will: 1) develop computational methods and simulate genetic data to study adaptation in mixed populations. (50%), and 2) will write code and use available software to analyze human genetic data from Africa and South America to detect signals of adaptation to malaria (50%).
