Arizona State University is committed to helping a greater number of academically qualified students graduate than ever. Our New American University Scholar awards are offered to outstanding freshmen as they pursue academic excellence at ASU. This program provides qualified students a monetary award and an environment focusing on knowledge, learning and research plus resources toward understanding and helping solve society's most pressing challenges.

This scholarship includes the following types of awards:

President's Award
Provost's Award
Dean's Award
University Award

Additional criteria: 

Students are automatically considered for this award when they are admitted to ASU. No separate application is required, but all admission application materials (admission application, official transcripts, test scores, and application fee) must be on file with the ASU Undergraduate Admissions Office to be considered for this award. Students eligible for this award must be graduating from an Arizona high school.

Students awarded an ASU merit-based scholarship will receive a scholarship notification letter two to three weeks after they receive their notification of admission.
