A position is available (starting in October 2020) for a highly talented and motivated post-bachelors researcher to engage in a synthetic biology research project. The project involves the engineering of microbial organisms for novel capacities. This involves genome engineering of strains and creation and selection of protein mutant libraries. The successful candidate will do this work in collaboration with a team of Ph.D. staff scientists and Post doctoral fellows with expertise in the areas of organic synthesis, RNA/protein biochemistry, bioinformatics and protein engineering.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology/molecular biology or related field, completed within the last three years, with the requisite laboratory experience. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent.
No Clearance: Position does not require a security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to drug testing and other pre-employment background checks.
