The Martin Hudson Scholarship for Carbon Capture and Sustainable Energy was created by Martin N. Hudson. Hudson received his BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1984. His successful career includes time as Chief Engineer at Motorola, Nokia from 1985-2015. He has been Chief Technical Officer at TerraSol Solar, since 2010. Mr. Hudson is creating this scholarship to ensure that the creative Junior and Senior students who have an interest in the sustainability of our planet have the resources to participate in undergraduate research in carbon capture and sustainable energy productions.
The scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student, who is a U.S. citizen, at the junior or senior level with a 2.5 cumulative GPA or above, and who is pursuing a BS in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Financial need may be considered. The donor has a preference that the selection process includes a recommendation from the Director of the Center for Bioenergy and Photosynthesis.
