L.E. Rombach Therapeutic Recreation Scholarship was established with donations made in 1976 by Lionel E Rombach to the recreation and criminal justice units. . Mr. Rombach was an adult probation officer in Pima county and lived frugally while giving his time and fortune to others. He was proud to use his bicycle as transportation in Tucson averaging 5,000 miles a year compared to only driving 400 miles a year in his decades old car. Mr. Rombach passed away at age 93.
