Scholarship information

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at ASU (OLLI at ASU) seeks to build innovative programming to connect traditional ASU students with the passions and aspirations of lifelong learners. OLLI at ASU provides learning experiences and a community where adults ages 50+ engage in non-credit, university-quality classes, member-driven programs, campus-based learning opportunities, and pathways to public service.

Thanks to a generous gift from the CDH Charitable Foundation, OLLI invites currently-enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at ASU to apply for the Intergenerational Learning Service Scholarship. Two Teaching Scholarships will be awarded to ASU students to provide a 90-minute artistic OLLI class during the Fall 2024 semester. Application information

Teaching Scholars will be selected based on their potential to design and teach an engaging, arts-focused OLLI class in the Fall 2024 semester. Applicants will design and execute an artistic class for lifelong learners (age 50 and better) to be taught in a 90-minute session. Applicants for this scholarship should have a clear sense of the content they'd like to teach. Students will also need to create a class title and description (100-200 words), using engaging descriptions of class content, for their proposed class to promote the class opportunity to OLLI members.

Funding details:
Teaching scholarships ($150 per 90-minute class session) will be disbursed through your ASU financial account after teaching the final class.

Please note: ALL scholarships awarded to ASU accounts are processed by the Financial Aid and Scholarship Services (FASS) Office. Once the award funding is approved by OLLI, the FASS Office manages the posting and disbursement of . the funds. In some cases, the awarding of additional funds from any ASU-affiliated source may impact student loans or university grants. Students who are currently receiving funding from ASU or federal sources should reach out to FASS and Student Business Services (SBS) for clarity on the potential financial impact of another award.
