Brief Summary:

The Information Technology Department of Marist College is seeking a fellowship candidate who wishes to develop skills in the field of Integrated Marketing and Communication.  The qualified candidate will assist in the support, creation, and implementation of a technology based integrated communication plan and strategy for the division.  The Fellow will develop digital marketing materials and interact with internal and external clients to help expand and maintain the division’s constituent customer-base.  In addition, the Fellow will assist in the development of publications, social media activities, websites, and facilitate marketing campaigns, schedule meetings, create timelines and help plan events.    This opportunity is a one-year paid fellowship position with the possibility of continuing employment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Criteria for Success - Duties and Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be eligible for appointment to a full-time permanent position after one year of service by demonstrating competencies in the areas listed below:  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Assisting in developing a web/internet presence.
  • Participate in and plan customer meetings, sales support activities, advertising initiatives, direct mail/marketing, videos and other marketing communications tactics.
  • Contribute to the design preparation of all literature; create copy; and select graphical elements.
  • Assist in the preparation of case studies, research materials, and other collateral pieces.
  • Assist in the preparation of print and online advertising materials.
  • Assist in developing content for key online communities such as social media outlets.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of metrics to measure the success of the marketing communications output.


Applicants must be in the final semester of their Bachelor’s degree or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and the Arts.  A GPA of at least 3.0 is required.  Fellowship candidates must present a formal letter of nomination from a credentialed faculty member from the institution from which they have or will graduate to be considered.
