Program needs are sporadic throughout the year; hence, this is an on-call, per diem position with hourly pay and no minimum requirement of hours.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Instruct students in clinical settings and/or classroom-based theory and practical courses.
  • Participate in course and/or clinical planning and orientation.
  • Provide classroom, skills lab and simulation support.
  • Facilitate course learning objectives and related activities.
  • Grade assignments, presentations, and projects.
  • Assist with testing needs and competency evaluation.
  • Participate in course evaluation and continuous course improvement as needed.
  • Facilitate cooperative relationships with practice leaders at clinical experiential learning sites.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as it relates to the position.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Skill in written and verbal communication and constructive feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or relevant degree if Masters or above in Nursing).
  • Arizona Nursing License.
  • Clinical experience in a focused nursing practice role.
  • Comfortable speaking/presenting to a class.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
  • Successful college or university teaching experiences.
  • Experience with a variety of interactive teaching methods and curricular perspectives.
  • Experience in hybrid curriculum and course development and delivery.
