Summary of Job Duties

The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Arkansas seeks applications for a full-time instructor in Spanish. The non-tenure track position will teach classes in the Spanish language across a range of levels. This position will participate actively in curriculum development and extra-curricular activities in the Spanish section and in allied programs. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching four classes per semester. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • M.A. degree in Spanish
  • Native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English
  • Teaching experience and evidence of quality teaching across a range of levels
