The Hope for Recovery Scholarship was established in memory of Glen Swette, and his positive outlook on life and personal resilience. Mr. Swette was a friend to everyone he met, even total strangers, and there are countless stories of his generosity and unselfish concern for all. Sadly, Mr. Swette passed away in 2017 after a courageous battle with ALS.
The Hope for Recovery Scholarship is for undergraduate students at ASU who have overcome, or are in the recovery stages of, a substance abuse addiction.
This award is selected and administered by the ASU Foundation.
