When you’re pursuing an advanced health care degree, the last thing on your mind should be how you’re going to pay for it. The U.S. Army can help with one of the most comprehensive scholarships available in the health care field — The F. Edward Hébert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program. Qualifying students receive full tuition for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program, plus a generous monthly stipend of $2,229.30.

• Be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school accredited school
• Be enrolled in (or have a letter or acceptance from) an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (varies by specialty)
• Maintain full-time student status during the length of the program
• Qualify as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve

Application information

It is beneficial for medical students not to have a financial burden towards their living expenses and just focus on their education. The U.S Army will pay 100 percent tuition for a graduate-level health care degree for any accredited medical program in the United States or Puerto Rico.
• When medical students attend school, they will receive a monthly stipend of more than $2,000 that can go toward for anything.
• Many incentives and awards are given to the recipient of this award and can be found on the Newsletter attached below.
