Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, funds research and mentors graduate students from the sciences and engineering, many of whom are Sigma Xi members. Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, is is the international honor society of science and engineering. Research projects shall promote scientific excellence and achievement through hands-on learning.
Eligibility & Requirements
Open to graduate students from all areas of the sciences and engineering. Membership in Sigma Xi is not a requirement, but approximately 75% of the funds are restricted for use of Sigma Xi students. The National Academy of Sciences funds certain grants for astronomy research and for vision related research.
