Physical Requirements
This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; intermittently performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Shift
Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm. This is a hybrid position.
Job Summary
This position will research, write, and coordinate all grant activities for the Kentucky Regional Extension Center (Kentucky REC) and the Healthy Kentucky Initiative at UK Healthcare. This position is responsible for finding funding opportunities for these two organizations and coordinating with both teams to write polished proposals to earn grant funding. The main responsibilities of this position will include environmental scanning, tracking and assessment of funding opportunities; grant writing and submittal tracking; stakeholder coordination and program tracking. This position will be responsible for convening leadership, team members, and external partners to coordinate the entire grant writing process from research to implementation. Additional duties will include researching deadlines, drafting grant requests, and submitting reports for approval. Topics will include, but are not limited to: Healthcare Quality Improvement, Disease Management, Practice Transformation, Electronic Health Records, and Behavioral Health Initiatives. This candidate should have excellent research and communication skills. They should be able to clearly communicate, both written and verbally, as their primary duty.
This is a hybrid position.

Computer skills – Microsoft Office, written and oral communication, Salesforce, Teams.

Preferred Education/Experience
Three to five years of grant writing or proposal writing experience. Strong organizational skills, writing skills, and professional communication skills.
