Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Grant Writer will write grant and fellowship proposals, collaborate with campus partners for funding opportunities, and monitor college grant and fellowship activity. The position will work one on one with faculty to help them move their ideas into fundable applications for grants by government agencies such as NEA, NEH, NIH and NSF; foundations such as The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation; and local and state funders.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required. 
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of experience in writing and submitting grant and fellowship proposals. 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Experience navigating complex professional environments and working with a variety of individuals on team-oriented projects. Excellent writing and editorial skills and strong, interpersonal skills. 
Preferences:
Five years of experience in grant and fellowship writing. Demonstrated success in securing extramural funding. Direct experience with government funding agencies such as NEA or NSF desirable. A background in the arts, humanities or social sciences is highly preferred.
