Job Summary
·         This is a student position in the UK Public Relations and Strategic Communication and Marketing and Brand Strategy offices. Under the direction of the Digital Director and Creative Services Director in UK Public Relations and Strategic Communication and Marketing and Brand Strategy, the Student Content Creator will create videos for the university’s YouTube account – focusing on content that resonates with current and prospective students. Job duties will include regularly producing video blogging (vlogging) style videos that showcase what it’s like to be a UK student. Working within our communication and marketing strategy, this position will share knowledge of digital content creation and make student-focused videos.
The qualified applicant will brainstorm and execute content ideas to create original content for the university’s YouTube channel with direction and input from the Digital Director and the Creative Services Director. This position will offer excellent opportunities for:

Tasks and Responsibilities

·         Create content and help maintain the university’s YouTube channel
·         Stay on top of current events and campus happenings to create relevant content
·         Produce vlogging-style YouTube videos that showcase student life at UK, meets the needs of our student community
·         Set benchmarks for content performance
·         Develop content designed to resonate with current and prospective UK students
·         Monitor YouTube for sentiment and trends
·         Help team with other social media and video projects as needed
·         Work with fellow student content creator for TikTok on content ideas, series and strategy.
