Job Summary | This is a student position in the UK Public Relations and Strategic Communications and Marketing and Brand Strategy offices. Under the direction of the Digital Director and Creative Services Director in UK Public Relations and Strategic Communication and Marketing and Brand Strategy, the Student Content Creator will create TikTok videos for the university’s TikTok account – focusing on content that resonates with current and prospective students. Job duties will include regularly producing TikTok videos that showcase what it’s like to be a UK student. Working within our communication and marketing strategy, this position will share knowledge of digital content creation and make student-focused videos. The qualified applicant will leverage current trends to create original content for the university’s TikTok with direction and input from the Digital Director and the Creative Services Director. This position will offer excellent opportunities for: · Real world, on the job experience · Content creation and portfolio building · Working with campus leadership Tasks and Responsibilities · Create content and help maintain the university’s TikTok account · Stay on top of TikTok trends and brainstorm ways to leverage trends on the UK TikTok account · Produce TikTok content that showcases student life at UK, meets the needs of our student community · Set benchmarks for content performance · Develop content designed to resonate with current and prospective UK students · Monitor TikTok for sentiment and trends · Engage with the university’s TikTok audience · Help team with other social media and video projects as needed Work with fellow student content creator for YouTube on content ideas, series and strategy.
