Position Summary
The Division of Cardiology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has one opening for an Interventional Cardiologist.  This position will be based at Nash Hospital in Rocky Mount. Responsibilities will include interventional cardiology procedures, imaging experience and in inpatient and outpatient cardiology.    Position will share coverage of the inpatient service, performance of procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, call coverage for Cath Lab, echocardiographic interpretation, inpatient consults, outpatient clinic and outreach activities.  
Educational Requirements
M.D. Degree.
Completion of fellowship in Interventional Cardiology 
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will be Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Board certified or Board eligible in Interventional Cardiology.  The successful candidate will have a wide range of skills in interventional cardiology procedures, imaging experience and an interest in inpatient and outpatient cardiology.  A willingness to have a busy outpatient practice, a commitment to good patient outcomes and a record as a team player and a program builder are also important.  Ability to perform peripheral vascular interventions is a plus. Position rank (fixed term vs. tenure track) is dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience.
