The Department of Microbiology & Immunology, Emory University School of Medicine, invites applications for an open rank, tenure eligible position within the broad fields of microbial pathogenesis and pathogen-host interactions. Applicants in the fields of immunology, bacteriology and virology are encouraged to apply, especially those at the interfaces linking these disciplines.

The Department is scientifically diverse, with strengths in adaptive immunity, bacterial pathogenesis, molecular virology and vaccinology. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree and a record of productive postdoctoral training. Ideal candidates will be collaborative scientists that bring new perspectives to the Department. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program, and to participate in our graduate and medical student training programs through mentorship and teaching. The primary criteria for selection will be excellence and creativity in research and scholarship.
