Position Description:

The Center for Cystic Fibrosis and Airways Disease Research (CF-AIR), a joint entity within Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the broad area of airway/mucosal immunology and inflammation (MD and/or PhD required). 

Faculty appointment will be in the Division of Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, Cystic Fibrosis and Sleep in the Department of Pediatrics within the Emory University School of Medicine.

Faculty with research programs in the broad field of airway/mucosal immunology and inflammation¸ and with experience in translational research, are of particular interest. The CF-AIR Center includes research foci in Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, and Food Allergy. Qualifications:

We seek candidates with an established track record of obtaining extramural funding and strong track record of research success, with a clear trajectory toward independence within the next five years. The candidate will be expected to develop an innovative, externally funded research program, as well as engage in cross-disciplinary research programs, and to participate in our strong graduate and medical student training programs through mentorship and teaching. 

Ideal candidates will be collaborative scientists that bring new perspectives to the Department and Center, with a translational mindset. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program, and to participate in our strong graduate and medical student training programs through mentorship and teaching. The primary criteria for selection will be excellence and creativity in research and scholarship.
