The Developmental Mathematics Lab Assistant will circulate in the Developmental Mathematics Laboratory answering questions from students using accepted methods of question-and-answer. The assistant may check in and monitor students taking exams in the lab. Assistants will do other duties as required by the instructor on duty.
Job Requirements
---
Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the current FALL 2021 term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
Must attach Fall 2021 class schedule.
GPA of at least 3.0 and satisfactorily completed at least one college-level mathematics course beyond MATH 1473.
Skills:
Basic math and computer skills.
Effective communication skills.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Ability to circulate in the computer laboratory
- Ability to hear and speak in order to interact with others
Department Preferences:
- Experience tutoring mathematics and familiarity with MyMathLab, an online educational and homework system.
