Description of Work Unit
It is the mission of Colorado State University Diagnostic Laboratory system to provide timely, accurate and pertinent animal disease diagnostic services and education outreach to veterinarians, animal industries and animal interests. The Diagnostic Lab will strive to meet the goals of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences and the University through research to develop new approaches to disease identification, investigation, prevention, and through education of professional veterinary medical, graduate and post-doctoral students.

Position Summary
The CSU Veterinary Diagnostic Labs is looking for temporary employees to work with the COVID testing team. This position will work in the office on tasks such as routing specimens, creating accessions, entering data from submission form information, scanning documents for diagnostic submissions, and other miscellaneous duties. These positions will not be testing samples for SARS-CoV-2. The positions pay $14 -16/hour, depending on job duties and experience. 
Position Minimum Qualifications
One year general clerical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High volume data entry experience in a medical setting. Attention to detail is critical.

Essential Job Duties


Job Duty Category COVID-19 accession data entry, scanning and specimen delivery.
Duty/Responsibility
Creating accessions in LIMS system for specimens submitted for COVID-19 testing. Prioritization skills and high-level accuracy in a fast-paced environment are essential. Specimens are routed to appropriate laboratory section while adhering to PPE requirements.
