Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill 1 part-time ( a maximum of 20 hours per week) Transfer Student Ambassador position for the College of Business at Oregon State University. This position is to be filled by a transfer student.
Student employees perform an important support role for our recruiting efforts of transfer students. This includes communicating with potential students, answering questions on a student-to-student level via email, over coffee, and giving College of Business tours for potential students and their families. In addition, our student team does data entry, initial communication and works on projects to support the recruitment team. This position’s responsibilities will continue to grow because we view our current Beavers as one of our biggest recruiting assets.
The pay rate is $13.75 per hour.
Position Duties
  • 20% – Data entry
  • 20% – COB tours and interacting with potential students face to face
  • 30% – Email/phone communication
  • 10% – Event support
  • 20% – Other duties as assigned

Additional Required Qualifications
  • College of Business major
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Cultural competency
  • Transfer student 
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and Google Docs
  • Available to work during term breaks
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Work schedule can vary. Some evening/weekend hours to be expected (infrequent).
