University of California Davis (UCD) offers 2 years of interdisciplinary autism research training for up to 6 postdoctoral scholars. Fellows will carry out research at UCD's Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (MIND) Institute. Funding is provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Institute supports a number of grants for research on the autism spectrum or other closely related neurodevelopmental disorders. All forms of investigation, from basic biological studies to behavioral and educational interventions, are supported. Each trainee will have a primary mentor, the faculty member with whom they directly carry out their research program, as well as a secondary mentor, who will provide a different disciplinary orientation.
Eligibility & Requirements
Applicants are planning an autism research career. Must have a doctorate in biomedical or behavioral science. OR, an MD. Must identify and obtain a commitment from a potential mentor. Letter of interest. CV. Sample of written work. 3 letters of recommendation. Individuals from historically under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
