The Cornell University Athletic Ticketing operation provides our guests with the highest quality fan experience in a safe, clean, comfortable and friendly environment. Our goal is to make every event a positive and friendly experience with the objective that our guests leave with lasting memories and a desire to return. Athletic Ticketing Game Day staff will provide excellent customer service, have strong interpersonal skills, and be approachable, responsible, dependable & punctual. These are casual (average of 19 hours or less per week) positions and are not eligible for benefits.

Game Day positions include:

  • Ticket Seller - Working knowledge of computers and experience in handling money. Physical requirements include standing for 4-5 hours at a time, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Usher/Ticket Taker - Assist guests at athletic events by: collecting/scanning admission tickets or passes from guests, assisting in finding seats, searching for lost articles, and locating such facilities as rest rooms and concessions.
  • Parking Attendant - Responsible for taking payments for vehicles as they enter parking facility, verify guests with pre-purchased passes and directing guests towards paid parking alternatives.


All game day employees are expected to:

  • Be available to work weekends and evenings
  • Provide excellent customer service, including greeting all guests upon arrival. Previous customer service work experience is preferred.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively offer assistance when necessary
  • Be fully aware of all policies to ensure the safety of all guests and employees
  • Problem solve in a timely and professional manner
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time

Please note: To be considered for these positions, you must be at least 18 years old and comply with NCAA bylaw 13.2.3.2, regarding the employment of prospects applies (2008/2009 NCAA Division I Manual) and NCAA bylaw 13.12.1.7.1.1 Exception -- Employment After Commitment applies (2014/2015 NCAA Division I Manual).
