We are looking for a student who will participate in the research activities of the UCLA Depression Grand Challenge, which includes human clinical research studies designed to investigate depression and treatments of depression. The position responsibilities require using film editing software, and a number of tools to securely access research recordings. Primary duties include:

  • Reviewing large volumes of clinical recordings from research participants
  • Using film editing software to remove identifying information from recordings
  • Adhering to data security protocols
  • Other administrative and research support assigned (data entry, data cleaning, data visualization, etc.)

Job Qualifications


Ability to work as part of a clinical research team under supervision of Project Director, alongside fellow undergraduate work study and research volunteer students.

Previous experience with human subjects research required, and proficiency in using computer programs is required.

Previous experience with film editing is preferred.

This position requires excellent time management and communication skills, an ability to work independently, staying on schedule, and attention to detail.
