The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) offers 22 awards for outstanding doctoral accounting students that show educational promise. The program's goal is to increase the number of minority CPAs who serve as role models and mentors to young people in the academic environment. AICPA wants to fund fellows who are interested in becoming accounting educators.


Eligibility & Requirements

Applied to a doctoral program and awaiting word on acceptance, been accepted into a doctoral program, or, already matriculated in a doctoral program and pursuing appropriate coursework. Open to minority students with master's degrees or 3 years of accounting experience. Must be attending or planning to attend school on a full-time basis and, once admitted, work consistently to obtain your degree. Must be of Black, Native American, Pacific Island, or Hispanic origin. CPA or plan to pursue the CPA credential. An official academic transcript from each institution from which you have received a degree. Confidential references from 2 individuals.
