If you're enjoying higher education, including student life at Hull, and you've some spare time to share that experience of being a mature student with others, you might like to work as a Student Ambassador.

The role of being a Student Ambassador allows you to share your passion for Hull and inspire others to consider university / Higher Education as an option for them, which may not have been an option to them previously.

Mature undergraduate students are more likely than younger students to be underrepresented in higher education and can face different barriers to accessing and succeeding in their studies. If you have first-hand experience of studying, especially as a mature student, you could support others who are interested in higher education by sharing the knowledge and understanding you have gained.

In this role you will be;

- Supporting prospective students at interactive events on campus, out in the community, in colleges and in schools through giving presentations.

- Helping people to understand student life and the application process, and supporting them to make informed choices about their education, including mature students.

- To communicate with prospective students to answer messages or questions via the Unibuddy ‘chat’ function, or to act as a moderator on social media groups for mature applicants.

- Work with and support staff from the Student Recruitment and Marketing Directorate, who will be running the events. It will be part of your role to follow direction from leading staff but be ready to be adaptable and/or use initiative in response to changes in schedules.

- Help organise and plan events.

- Providing general administration duties to the team.
