Education & Student Support - Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement

This full-time post based in the Student Community and Partnerships Team is available immediately on a fixed term basis until 31st July 2023.

About the role

The University of Exeter has a wide range of activities in which students work with us to continually review, improve, and innovate on the quality and standards of the programmes and student experience we provide. These include a comprehensive system of academic reps and Student-Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) in each department, feedback surveys such as the National Student Survey (NSS), and the Students as Change Agents scheme facilitating student-led quality enhancement projects. The Student Community and Partnerships Team leads on supporting these activities within Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement.

This role will be responsible for providing operational, administrative and secretarial support to these activities across a specified group of subjects and departments. This is an important and exciting role in helping the University to maintain current standards of how we work with students to improve their voice and community, but also to identify and develop new ideas and practice in this area. As such, this role also focuses on partnership working with students, as well as with academic and professional services staff at a variety of levels in the University and in our students’ unions.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working with work from campus for an average of two days per week.

About you

This post is ideal for candidates skilled in administration looking to work in a partnership-focused role. We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and quickly establish rapport, and to build professional relationships with a diverse range of students and staff. You should also possess a range of administrative and secretarial skills to manage the busy and varied workload involved, and bring an enthusiastic and resilient approach to working in an ever-changing environment.

While a background in Higher Education is not strictly necessary, we would particularly encourage applications from recent graduates or candidates with prior experience in Higher Education.
