Applications are invited for a Student Administration Records Assistant in Student Administration.
Student Administration is responsible for all central administrative functions involved in the student lifecycle, including Enrolment, Academic Timetabling, Attendance Monitoring, Examinations, and Graduation Ceremonies. It also contains the Doctoral School, Appeals and Academic Investigations and the Student Services Centre, which provides a central point of contact for students.
The Student Administration Records Assistant will support the administration of a variety of tasks carried out by the Enrolment and Records Team. They will also take lead responsibility in the administration of Student Movements (interruptions, withdrawals and programme changes). The role involves the methodical and accurate entry of data and excellent attention to detail when handling Student Movement documentation.
Candidates for this post should have excellent IT skills, an ability to manage a number of tasks at the same time and can demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to working in Higher Education Administration. In addition, candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service via email and phone to students, departmental administrators and academic staff and colleagues in Professional Services. They should also be committed to contributing to the continual development and provision of a high quality service to students and staff.
The role-holder will work closely with other colleagues in the Student Administration team, as well as colleagues from other Professional Services areas, to ensure that a well-co-ordinated service is provided to students in relation to Student Movements. The role enables the post holder to gain experience of a full range of activities within Student Administration, whilst taking specific responsibility for an area of work.
