Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance (Degree Apprenticeships) (Education and Scholarship)

Updated: 4 months ago
Location: Exeter, ENGLAND
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 25 Jan 2024

Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, Business School, Department of Management – Degree Apprenticeships

The University of Exeter Business School has developed a suite of Degree Apprenticeship programmes designed in collaboration with employers to meet all aspects of the apprenticeship standards. UEBS aims to fulfil employer expectations and includes employer involvement right from the start of the degree.

Our design is premised on the assumption that the most authentic and powerful pedagogy is one that focuses on the identification, analysis and resolution of immediate problems in the apprentices’ world, therefore these programme link learning directly to the working manager. We believe that this philosophy directly fits with the requirements laid down by apprenticeship standards, serving both apprentice and employer.

We are seeking to appoint a new Senior Lecturer to join our Degree Apprenticeship team to design and develop the Level 6 Accounting Finance Manager and Level 7 Accounting Professional apprenticeship programmes

The post will include the design, development and delivery of teaching and learning material suitable for use in our accounting apprenticeship programmes. This will include delivery across a range of modules or within this subject area. These programmes are delivered through blended learning, a mixture of online, on-campus and employer premises masterclasses with a significant element of workplace learning and assessment.
