Summary
The School of Law PhD Merit Scholarship covers full fees for two PhD students (one Home fee status and one Overseas fee status) starting on-campus study in October 2022. In addition, the School will offer a yearly stipend of £8,000 per year over three years of study for both students. The primary basis for this award will be academic merit.

This scholarship is now open for applications.
There are two scholarships to be awarded on the basis of academic merit to one Home PhD applicant and one Overseas PhD applicant who have applied for and been given an offer of study for a full-time on-campus PhD starting in October 2022. The scholarship covers tuition fees for one full-time Home fee status student and one Overseas fee status student starting PhD study on-campus in October 2022.
Eligibility
Candidates must have applied for and have received an offer of study for a place on a full-time on-campus PhD in Law starting in September/October 2022.
Criteria
The successful applicant must have submitted their full online application by 1 July 2022.
Application Procedure
Applicants must submit a complete PhD application through the University's Postgraduate Applicant Portal and provide, in their personal statement, a request to be considered for this award in no more than 500 words and explaining why they should be awarded the scholarship. The primary basis for the award will be academic merit.

A decision on the award will be made by Friday 29 July and must be accepted by Friday 5 August 2022.
