Studentship Description

We seek to recruit an outstanding engineer/physical scientist to build a new generation of quantum sensors for early disease diagnosis at the point of care. This exciting PhD project is aligned to the i-sense EPSRC IRC, a large interdisciplinary research collaboration, led by UCL, which aims to detect infectious diseases much earlier than ever before (Director Prof Rachel McKendry).

The research will aim to harness the unique properties of quantum materials to develop an ultra-sensitive diagnostic devices to detect the very early stages of infection. This project will involve the use of novel materials and optical detection systems.
